Amidst corn fields and rolling hills, in the heart of southern Burnett County’s Amish country, lies the quaint Smith Apple Farm. The farm has been in business in Shell Lake for nearly 40 years. From honey gold to Haralson, and many varieties in between, this charming roadside apple orchard, anchored by a seasonal bakery, is one not to miss.
The highlights of our visit were the friendly staff and owners and the delicious apple cider donuts. We picked up some local cranberries, sugar cookies, and a few totes of apples. The honey golds were our favorite!
We loved that we were able to enjoy our food outside while the kids played with the plentiful yard toys on a warm late October afternoon.
The farm is open Tuesday-Sunday 10AM-5PM (4PM starting November 1st) and open through November 15th this year.
